WARDOGS is a TACTICAL ALL OUT WARFARE FPS where one hundred players split across three teams fight over the control zone. Set in the derelict industrial mountai
WARDOGS is on Steam in Early Access at $39.99. It is a hundred-player tactical FPS from BULKHEAD, published by Team17 — comfortably the largest release in this batch.

Three teams, not two
A hundred players split across three factions fighting over a control zone. The third team is the interesting decision — it removes the stalemate that two-sided modes fall into, because someone can always take advantage of a fight between the other two.
The battlefield is destructible
Set in derelict industrial mountains in Eastern Europe, with destruction as a stated feature. At this player count that matters — cover that survives the first ten minutes is what separates a tactical shooter from a chaotic one.
BULKHEAD and Team17
BULKHEAD have made military shooters before, and Team17 is an established publisher rather than a small one. For an Early Access game asking forty dollars, that backing is part of what you are buying.
Forty dollars, and unfinished
No launch discount, Early Access, and a price that puts it alongside finished games. The risk with any large-scale multiplayer shooter is population — a hundred-player mode needs a hundred players, and that is the thing to check before buying rather than after.
Released 10 September
It has been out a few days longer than the rest of this batch, so there should already be reviews and player numbers worth reading.

A hundred players is a hard promise to keep
Large-scale shooters live or die on population. A hundred-player mode needs a hundred players in your region at the hour you want to play, and that is a harder problem than any technical one. Games with bigger budgets than this have shipped at scale and emptied within months.
Team17 backing helps — they can fund a launch push and keep servers running through a slow patch. But publisher support buys time rather than an audience, and forty dollars in Early Access asks the player to carry some of that risk.
Three-way fights change the maths
The third faction is the most interesting decision here. In two-sided modes a stronger team snowballs; with three, the two losing sides have an incentive to leave each other alone, which naturally pulls a match back towards the middle.
It also makes the control zone genuinely contested rather than a line that moves one way. Whether BULKHEAD have tuned the scoring so third place stays worth playing is the thing that will decide how it holds up.
