Oops! You’re the Hero! is out on Steam at $4.99. You play a thief who stole the wrong artifact and got promoted to chosen one against his will.

A thief, an artifact, a mistake
The setup is a theft that goes too well. The artifact marks whoever holds it as the Hero, and the bosses of the world have sworn to defeat whoever that is. You did not ask for this.
Fight them or dodge them
Artificium Games make a point of the choice: you can face the bosses or avoid them entirely. A fantasy adventure that lets you decline the fights is doing something slightly different with the genre’s usual structure.
Exploration over combat
Given that avoidance is a supported route, the world is presumably built to reward looking around rather than clearing rooms. Tagged Action and Adventure on Steam, with no RPG tag — so expect something tighter and more directed than the premise might suggest.
Five dollars, no discount
$4.99 flat — Artificium have not run a launch promotion. For a small fantasy adventure that is already a low ask.
Who it suits
Anyone who enjoys a premise that undercuts the chosen-one story rather than playing it straight, and does not need forty hours out of it.

Declining the boss fight is a real design choice
Most action adventures treat bosses as gates. Making them optional means the world has to work as a place to move through rather than a corridor between fights, and it means the ending has to hold up whether you fought everything or nothing.
It also flips the usual power fantasy. You are not the hero who beats the bosses — you are a thief carrying something that makes you a target, and avoiding the confrontation is a legitimate answer.
Five dollars, no discount, no padding
Artificium Games have priced it flat and tagged it Action and Adventure with no RPG tag. Taken together that signals a short, directed game rather than one that pads itself out with systems.
For a premise this specific, short is probably right. The joke and the structure are the same idea, and neither needs forty hours to land.
The bosses have sworn to stop you
That is the pressure the premise creates: you are not hunting them, they are hunting you, and the artifact will not let you put it down. It reframes a standard boss roster as something closer to a pursuit.
Because avoidance is a supported route, the game has to make sneaking past a boss feel like a decision rather than a failure to fight one. Whether it manages that is the thing to watch for — plenty of games offer the option and then quietly punish you for taking it.
