Flowers and Deities launched on Steam on 14 August 2026 from Chill Winter Studio and IGA Studio. It is a strategy deckbuilder roguelite set in a rainforest world ruled by bloodthirsty gods, and its central resource is blood spilled in battle.

Blood is the currency

You lead an army into the arena, and the blood spilled there is what you spend — on casting spells and summoning creatures. The loop the studio describes is deliberately blunt: die, adapt, and descend into the arena again.

Tying your economy to combat damage is a sharper design than a generic mana pool. It means aggression funds itself, and a cautious run starves. That single decision shapes how every fight has to be approached.

Defeat them, then recruit them

The roster is unusually large for the genre. You battle across multiple grand arenas against 15+ races and 125+ unique unit types — noble legions, barbarian tribes, underworld horrors and alien visitors.

The hook is what happens after. Defeat them, and you conscript them into your own ranks. Enemy variety therefore doubles as your own build space, so every unfamiliar opponent is a potential addition rather than just an obstacle.

A build space with real numbers behind it

Chill Winter are specific about scale: 4 origins and faiths that define your playstyle from the first fight, 12 tactical archetypes, 300+ magical items, 100+ divine blessings and 50+ status effects.

Origins mattering from the opening battle is the part worth noting. Many roguelites keep runs identical until the first upgrade; committing to a faith before the first fight means the divergence starts immediately, which is better for replay value.

What the listing includes — and does not

This is single-player with Family Sharing, and that is the extent of the Steam feature set. There are no Steam Achievements, no Cloud saves and no controller support listed.

For a deckbuilder with 300+ items and 100+ blessings, absent achievements is a genuine omission — this is exactly the genre where completion tracking gives players a reason to keep going. Worth knowing before you buy.

It ships on Windows and macOS. Language support is English and Simplified Chinese, both with full audio. Steam genre tags are Indie, Simulation and Strategy.

Launch pricing

Flowers and Deities is on Steam at $12.99 checked against the store listing on 15 August 2026. The promotion ends when the launch window closes.

Twelve dollars for a deckbuilder with this much stated content is reasonable, and the blood-as-resource idea is genuinely distinct in a crowded genre. Go in aware there is no achievement layer and no controller support, and that the presentation leans hard into the bloodthirsty-gods framing.
