IDIOCRACY, INC released Wacky! Deer & Munk Adventure on Steam on 12 August 2026. It is a 2D puzzle platformer built around swapping between two characters with deliberately incompatible skill sets, and it ships with 200 stages — a content figure well above what the price point suggests.
Two heroes who are useless in each other’s situations
The Pig King’s army has taken every acorn in the village, and two friends set out to get them back. That is the entire premise, and it exists to justify the mechanic.
Deer dashes across ground and hauls heavy objects. Munk double jumps, glides, and fits through gaps Deer physically cannot enter. Neither can finish a stage alone, so the core skill is reading a layout and identifying which character the obstacle in front of you was designed for.
IDIOCRACY sums the design up directly: reading the stage and picking the right hero for the job is the whole game. When neither route works, the fallback is to build a path yourself using the objects Deer can move.

200 stages across ten escalating themes
The campaign spans 200 stages organised into ten themes, with a difficulty curve the developer describes plainly: easy-going at first, properly demanding by the middle, and no mercy at all by the end.
That honesty is worth noting given the art style. The store page includes an explicit warning not to let the cute presentation fool you, which suggests the late-game stages are aimed at players who want execution challenge rather than a relaxed mascot platformer.
Difficulty handled through items, not a menu
There is no difficulty selector. Instead, the game routes difficulty through its item and collectible economy — you collect acorns and spend them on items, and the store page frames this as the player setting their own difficulty.
It is a reasonable alternative to a settings toggle. Players who want the stages as designed can simply not buy the assistance, while players who get stuck have a path forward that does not require restarting on a different setting. It also means the acorn collection loop stays relevant across all 200 stages rather than being purely cosmetic completionism.
Movement depth backs this up. Dashing, wall double jumps and gliding are described as taking minutes to learn but considerably longer to master, with mastery translating directly into distance and speed.

Solo or co-op, on one screen
The two-character design supports both playstyles. The Steam listing includes Single-player, Multi-player, Co-op, Shared/Split Screen Co-op and Shared/Split Screen — so one player can swap between Deer and Munk manually, or two players can take one character each locally.
Steam Achievements are supported. The build is Windows only, with no macOS or Linux version listed. Interface and subtitle localisation covers ten languages including French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
Steam genre tags are Action, Adventure, Casual and Indie.

Two hundred stages for eight dollars
Wacky! Deer & Munk Adventure is listed at $8.99 checked against the Steam store page on 13 August 2026.
Two hundred stages for around eight dollars is a strong content-to-price ratio, and the item-based difficulty system means the back half of the game stays accessible to players who do not want to grind execution. If you have someone to play it with locally, the character split makes it a natural couch co-op pick.
