A dark time-loop mystery visual novel about a fated romance with only one person: I-on Moon. A birthday love letter leads to death at 6 PM, then the same mornin
Sweet Clockwork released on Steam on 16 August 2026 from Korean studio Team D.T.R. It is a dark mystery otome visual novel built on a time loop, and it is upfront about being a game you are meant to fail repeatedly before you succeed.
A birthday that keeps ending badly
The setup is tight. It is a July day, your birthday, and a confession letter arrives asking you to come to the Year 1 Class D classroom at 6 PM. You open the door and find death waiting.
Consciousness slips, and the morning begins again. The 6 PM appointment looms, the cycle of death repeats, and your friends’ eyes now hold what the studio calls a chilling difference. The only way out is a Time Travel Ring that lets you rewind fate.

Ten characters, one true ending
The cast runs to ten named characters — Haena Ji as the player character with a changeable name, alongside I-on Moon, Chabin Han, Sol Yoon, Dorim Chae, Jian Ban, Yohan Go, Gaon Gil, Iri Dam and Jeong Dokgo.
Team D.T.R are unusually direct about the structure in their developer’s note: the game is designed so players must overcome countless Bad Endings to reach the single True Ending, and that ending belongs to one character, I-on Moon.
That is worth knowing before you buy. This is not a branching otome where every route is equally valid — it is a puzzle with one correct solution, and the bad endings are the mechanism rather than a failure state.
Content warning, from the developers
Team D.T.R have filed a mature content description and it deserves repeating rather than burying. The game features dark and mature themes, including blood and violence with injuries caused by weapons.
The Steam listing carries this notice directly. If school-set horror with repeated character death is not something you want, this one signals that clearly up front, and that honesty is to the studio’s credit.

Platform, language and what is missing
Sweet Clockwork ships on Windows and macOS, which is more than most visual novels at this price manage.
Language support covers Korean, English and Simplified Chinese. Steam genre tags are Adventure, Casual, Indie and Simulation.
Worth flagging what the listing omits: this is single-player with Family Sharing and nothing else — no Steam Achievements, no Cloud saves, no controller support. For a game explicitly built around collecting many endings, absent achievements is a real gap, since that is exactly the structure achievements usually track.

Twelve fifty-nine at launch
Sweet Clockwork is on Steam at $13.99. The launch discount has ended and this is the standard price, verified on 6 September 2026. A free demo is also listed separately if you want to test the writing and translation before committing.
Roughly thirteen dollars is standard for a full-length otome release, and eleven screenshots plus a demo suggest a substantial production rather than a short jam project. The main caveats are the absent achievement layer and the fact that the story funnels toward one ending — if you prefer otome games where every route is a genuine destination, that structure may frustrate you.
