About Promo Wrestling World: Gameplay & Details

Current Build Status
Promo Wrestling World is out now! With that said, expect ongoing balance changes, bug fixes, and expanded features. I’m always listening to the players.
Promo Wrestling World puts you in charge of your own wrestling promotion. You run the company week by week, from booking television and major events to signing talent, managing contracts, dealing with injuries, and keeping the locker room under control.
Push the right wrestler, and you could create your next franchise star. Back the wrong one, mishandle a contract, or lose control of your payroll, and the whole promotion can fall apart.
• Draft an entire wrestling world. In World. Draft mode, every promotion starts with an empty roster. Scout the available talent, build your draft board, make your picks live, and watch rival companies put their own rosters together.
• Start with almost nothing. Founder mode lets you build a promotion from the ground up. Find a place to run, put together a roster, survive the early years, and try to turn a small operation into a major company.
• Watch the show happen. Your cards do not disappear into a results screen. Watch Live presents the entrances, matches, near-falls, interference, injuries, crowd reactions, and title changes as they happen.
• Call the matches yourself. Plug in a microphone and do your own play-by-play during Watch Live. Your color commentator can respond using the wrestlers, championships, and history from your save. Local voice mode runs entirely on your PC.
• Book more than a list of matches. Put together promos, interviews, beatdowns, run-ins, saves, betrayals, turns, title matches, tournaments, and long-running storylines. Build the weekly television that leads to the match people actually want to see.
• Create your own match types. Use the Match Lab to build special matches, set the rules, choose where the action can go, decide how the match ends, and save your creation for future shows.
• Deal with a world that keeps moving. Rival promotions sign wrestlers, lose stars, compete for television and audiences, raid rosters, make trades, grow, struggle, merge, and sometimes fold. New promotions and new wrestlers can enter the industry as the years pass.
• Handle the people behind the show. Wrestlers remember how they are treated. Morale, trust, personality, relationships, injuries, backstage roles, tag-team chemistry, and stable loyalty can all affect your plans.
• Run the wrestling business. Negotiate contracts and television deals, manage payroll, sell tickets and merchandise, find sponsors, choose venues, and decide how much you can afford to spend on production.
• Make championships mean something. Titles track every champion, reign, defense, vacancy, and change in prestige. The game also keeps a contender picture so you can see who has earned the next shot.
• Build a history worth remembering. Follow careers, records, awards, Hall of Fame candidates, major feuds, title lineages, and the story of your promotion across a long-term save.
• Play in different eras. The wrestling business changes depending on when you start. Media, money, fan expectations, and the way promotions compete all reflect the era you choose.
• Build the world you want. The World Editor gives you control over promotions, wrestlers, staff, championships, teams, stables, relationships, regions, venues, match types, media, and much more.
Promo Wrestling World is for wrestling fans who want more than a card simulator. It is about booking the show, running the company, dealing with the consequences, and seeing what kind of wrestling world you create.u. AI-Generated Content Disclosure The developers describe how their game uses AI-generated content like this:
AI was used to generate the images of the characters and titles in World Editor. There is also a 100% optional, opt-in only AI that can help answer questions, negotiate wrestler contracts, and provide booking assistance.

About Promo Wrestling World
DreamXscape frames the design as the booker’s perspective: you take a wrestling promotion and run it week by week. Book the matches, shape the storylines, handle egos and injuries, build championships, and watch rival companies compete for the same audience and talent. The “living wrestling industry” framing is the ambitious differentiator — rival promotions sign talent, run shows, grow, fold, and reshape the market around your dynasty over years of in-game time.
The simulation depth pushes beyond simple match-booking. Weekly TV, major events, promos, angles, and vignettes all need to be crafted. Story beats need to land with the audience. Contracts need managing. Money needs balancing. That’s a substantial systems load, and DreamXscape’s decision to ship as 1.0 with ongoing balance and bug fixes signals a developer commitment to long-term iteration — the studio has explicitly said “expect ongoing balance changes, bug fixes, and expanded features. I’m always listening to the players.”

Core Play Mechanics
The management layer runs on parallel systems. Match booking with card composition — deciding who fights who and why — drives audience response. Storyline arcs across weeks and months build character momentum. Contract negotiation and roster management handle the business side. Championship structure creates prestige hierarchy. And rival promotions running their own booking in parallel means market conditions constantly shift beneath your feet. That’s a multi-axis simulation similar in ambition to Football Manager or Motorsport Manager — the sports management genre’s most respected examples.
What Promo Wrestling World adds specifically to the sports-management template is the storyline authoring layer. Where football managers care only about wins and losses, wrestling promotion demands narrative craft. Which feuds sell tickets. Which stars need to break heel or face turn to reignite fan interest. That storytelling systems layer is genuinely rare in the management-sim genre and is where the design has the potential to become a cult classic within its niche.

Management sims typically have modest hardware demands, and Promo Wrestling World is no exception. Any laptop from the past decade should handle the game comfortably — an accessibility win that opens the audience significantly.
How Promo Wrestling World Compares to Wrestling Sim Peers
Wrestling promotion simulation has been an underserved niche for over a decade. Total Extreme Wrestling has been the genre standard for years — deep, dedicated fan community, but visually stark and mechanically opaque to newcomers. Booking Revolution and various smaller titles have attempted modernization with mixed results. Promo Wrestling World enters this space with visual polish that TEW has never prioritized, combined with the storyline authoring depth that TEW champions. That’s a legitimately different market position and could unlock the sub-genre for casual wrestling fans who bounce off TEW’s presentation.
The design also fits into the broader management-sim boom. Football Manager, Motorsport Manager, Two Point Hospital, and even Cities: Skylines have proven that deep management systems can drive years of engagement when the underlying design respects player time and attention. Promo Wrestling World applying that template to wrestling promotion is genuinely uncommon.
Why Living-Industry Simulation Matters
Most sports-management games treat rivals as passive obstacles — teams to beat, tournaments to win. Promo Wrestling World’s living-industry framing means rivals are themselves running promotions, hiring talent, and reshaping the market. That AI-driven competitive layer changes the strategic calculus significantly. Winning isn’t just about internal booking excellence; it’s about outmaneuvering opponent promotions across contract negotiations, storyline booking, and audience attention share. Few sim games commit to that level of AI-driven market dynamics.
Our Take on Promo Wrestling World
Yes if you love professional wrestling and want to book your own promotion in a genuine simulation depth. Yes if you play Football Manager, Motorsport Manager, or similar deep management sims and want to apply that mental model to wrestling. Yes if you appreciate developer commitment to ongoing iteration — DreamXscape has been explicit about post-launch support. Yes if the storyline authoring layer appeals; that’s rare depth in the management sub-genre. Less yes if you strictly want in-ring wrestling action; this is unashamedly about the booking layer, not the wrestling itself. At $14.99 at the time of writing, it’s a reasonable ask for the design ambition on display.
Streamer and content creator engagement will be a critical early indicator for Promo Wrestling World’s trajectory. Wrestling simulation content has proven appeal on Twitch and YouTube — content creators like Grimm Sanders, JBL, and countless smaller channels have built long-running series around TEW play. If Promo Wrestling World’s visual presentation and accessible interface attracts creators who bounce off TEW, that community exposure could dramatically expand the game’s reach beyond the existing wrestling-sim audience. DreamXscape’s ongoing update commitment signals they’re planning for that long-tail engagement pattern.
