A deep idle strategy game with extensive progression: heroes, promotions, arcane arts, gear, spirit beasts, talents, and runes. Create thousands of unique build
Elemental Master: Heroes Assemble is out on Steam from DeepDream Studio. It is a deep idle strategy RPG built on hero collection and build crafting — and worth noting up front, it arrived on 17 August 2026, a day earlier than the developer’s own announcement had stated.
Four build archetypes, not one meta
The heart of it is team construction. You collect heroes and evolve them through Breakthroughs, Class Advancements and Relic Augmentation, with each hero carrying distinct skills, elements, roles and battlefield positioning.
DeepDream name four viable directions: a rapid-fire Combo/Basic Attack build, a high-stakes One-Shot Critical Hit build, a Counter-Attack strategy, and Damage-over-Time styles built on Burn and Poison. Naming four distinct paths rather than implying one correct answer is a good sign for an idle game, where builds often collapse into a single optimum.

Progression layers stacked deep
The systems list runs long: heroes, promotions, arcane arts, gear, spirit beasts, talents and runes. DeepDream claim thousands of unique builds can be formed from those combinations.
Modes cover adventure, team battles and a Demon Tide defence mode, so the progression has somewhere to be spent beyond raw idling. Steam user tags include Auto Battler, Tower Defense, Roguelite and Incremental, which sketches the shape accurately.
Built to be played one-handed
The accessibility set matches the genre properly. The listing includes a Mouse Only Option, Playable without Timed Input, custom volume controls and a playable-at-your-own-pace designation.
For an idle strategy game, no timed-input requirement is exactly right — nothing here depends on reaction speed, and the mouse-only option means you can run it alongside other work. Steam Achievements are supported.
The build is Windows only. Localisation covers Simplified Chinese, English, French, German, Spanish and Russian.

One thing to be aware of on the store page
The Steam description still opens with a line stating the game is in its Playtest phase and asking for feedback. Since the game has released, that text appears to be left over from before launch rather than a current description of its state.
It is not a red flag by itself — small studios frequently forget to update store copy after launch — but it does mean the description you read may not reflect the shipped version. A free demo is listed separately if you want to check the current build before buying.

Seven ninety-nine
Elemental Master: Heroes Assemble is on Steam at $7.99 off its $9.99 base price, verified on 18 August 2026.
One correction: this is not awaiting a release date. It launched on 17 August and is available now.
Eight dollars for an idle strategy game with this many progression layers is reasonable, and the four named build paths suggest genuine depth rather than a single upgrade treadmill. Try the demo first if the stale store copy gives you pause.
